Briardale House is one of Alburys finest homes. Located in a quiet Northern area of Albury, NSW, Australia, Briardale is the ideal hub for exploring our historic city and surrounds. Our home is situated on the original grounds of Briardale Orchard, established in 1919 by the Heathwood Family. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the Dining Room where tea, coffee & snacks are available throughout the day. Please note that Briardale is not "hi-tech" - we are very old-world - we do not have pay, satellite or cable TV, we do have free wireless internet and Free-to-Air TV in your room. All Suites are ABOVE STAIRS ON THE FIRST FLOOR and feature ensuite bathrooms and individual air-conditioning.
Briardale House is licensed for your convenience, our cellar is stocked with a selection of local beers & Australian & French wines to be enjoyed either indoors or outside in the quiet and peaceful garden.
Please note that children can only be accommodated in the existing bedding configurations, ie, 1 Queen size bed per suite, as no other bedding is available and will be charged at the applicable room tariff. Our Suites cater for a maximum of two persons per Suite.

Getting There : Getting There : Albury is well serviced by road, rail & air. Qantas, Regional Express & Virgin Blue all connect frequently at Albury Airport. Interstate bus lines link at the Railway Station. We are about 3 hours north of Melbourne and about 5 hours south of Sydney using M31.
From Melbourne, (Victoria) take the 4th Exit ,"Racecourse Road", turn left and continue West along Union Road for 2.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel ahead on your right - continue on Union Road through this intersection for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, left into Sunwood, right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right. If you miss this exit you can take the next, which is "Thurgoona Drive" exit.
From Sydney, (NSW) take the 1st or 2nd Exit. We recommend the 1st exit.
The 1st is "Davey Road" (sign posted "to Jindera"), this takes you directly to the "Old Hume Highway" (Wagga Road #31), continue to Union Road for 8.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel on your right - turn right into Union Road at this intersection and continue along Union Rd for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, left into Sunwood, then right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right.
The 2nd exit is "Thurgoona Drive", which takes you to Wagga Road, follow the above directions. Should you have any difficulty finding us, please give a quick phone call.

Things To DoAlbury is an historic city, retaining much of its early architecture. Be sure to visit the Botanical gardens, undoubtedly one of the best examples in Australia. Visit the Hume Dam which services the mighty Murray River down to South Australia. The Bandiana Army museum is a must see. Albury is the ideal hub for exploring our wonderful region. Tourist information centres are located at the Albury Railway Station and at Gateway Island, Wodonga.
