Briardale is Albury's finest Bed & Breakfast, with a "5 Diamond Rating" by Australian Accommodation Diamond Rating System. Located in a quiet area of Albury, NSW, Australia, Briardale is the ideal hub for exploring our historic city and surrounds. Our home is situated on the original grounds of Briardale Orchard, established in 1919 by the Heathwood Family. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the Dining Room where tea, coffee & snacks are available throughout the day - evening meals may be ordered at time of booking or by contacting us with 24 hrs notice. Please note that Briardale is not "hi-tech" - we do not have pay, foxtel, austar, satellite or cable TV, we do have free wireless internet throughout the house and Free-to-Air TV in your room. There is no television in the Parlour.
All Bedroom Suites are ABOVE STAIRS ON THE FIRST FLOOR - each feature a private bathroom ( ensuite ), Queensize brass bed with deluxe mattress and fine quality manchester, comfy Doonas & electric blankets in Winter, antique dressing table, individual airconditioning units, LCD television, convenient USB ports and wardrobe. All Suites are spacious, very quiet, serviced daily and have views over the old cottage gardens and Heathwood Park. The bedrooms do not contain refrigerators or tea/coffee facilities - these are available from the Dining Room.
Briardale is licensed for your convenience, our cellar is stocked with a selection of beers & Australian & imported wines to be enjoyed either indoors or outside in the quiet and peaceful garden.
Please note that children can only be accommodated in the existing bedding configurations, ie, 1 Queen size bed per suite, no other bedding is available. Our Suites cater for a maximum of two persons per room.
We regret that pets cannot be accepted due to Health Regulations, assistance dogs are accepted.

Car Parking : Secure off-street parking with electronic controlled entry & exit ensures your privacy and security. If all gates are closed, please use the intercom on the pedestrian gate nearest the driveway gates.
Getting There : Briardale is located in a very quiet and tranquil area away from main road noise and the centre of Albury, whilst still within walking distance of all amenities - 1.5km to shoppings centres, hotels & restaurants. We have extensive peaceful gardens and overlook Heathwood Park and Bungambrawatha Creek - you are assured of a relaxing stay.
Albury is well serviced by road, rail & air. Qantas, Regional Express & Virgin Blue all connect frequently at Albury Airport. Interstate bus lines link at the Railway Station. We are about 3 hours north of Melbourne and about 5 hours south of Sydney using M31.
From Melbourne, (Victoria) take the 4th Exit ,"Racecourse Road", turn left and continue West along Union Road for 2.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel ahead on your right - continue on Union Road through this intersection for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, being careful to veer right at the median strip ahead to stay on Diggers Rd, take the next left into Sunwood, then right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right overlooking the Park.
If you miss this exit you can take the next, which is "Thurgoona Drive" exit. and follow above instructions.
From Sydney, (NSW) take the 1st or 2nd Exit. We recommend the 1st exit.
The 1st exit is "Davey Road" (sign posted "to Jindera"), turn right to go over the Freeway, this takes you to the "Old Hume Highway" (Wagga Road #31), turn left onto #31, then continue to Union Road for 8.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel on your right - turn right into Union Road at this intersection and continue along Union Rd for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, being careful to veer right at the median strip ahead to stay on Diggers Rd, take the next left into Sunwood, then right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right overlooking the Park.
The 2nd exit is "Thurgoona Drive", which takes you to Wagga Road, follow the above directions. Should you have any difficulty finding us, please give a quick phone call.

Albury - established in the 1830's as a customs collection point and "crossing place" - is an historic city, retaining much of its early architecture. Be sure to visit the Botanical gardens, established 1887, undoubtedly one of the best examples in Australia. Visit the Hume Dam which services the mighty Murray River down to South Australia. The Bandiana Army museum is a must see. Albury is the ideal hub for exploring our wonderful region. Tourist information centres are located at the Albury Railway Station and at Gateway Island, Wodonga.
