This enchanting holiday playground also offers easy driving access to major theme parks and other Gold Coast attractions plus sport and entertainment clubs and major shopping centres
Located halfway along the Gold Coast's 70 kilometre coastline, Burleigh Heads holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike.
Nestled beneath the rolling green Burleigh Headland, studded with its distinctive pines and pandanus palms, this gently curving beach is protected and offers magical views north to Surfers Paradise.
Burleigh Heads central location means that it is easily accessible both by car and public transport and is very close to the Gold Coast Airport.
One of the most popular attractions is the Burleigh Heads National Park. Located just at the end of the street, it has several sceninc walks, ranging from easy to difficult. The tracks wind through ancient rainforest and give extensive views from the many vantage points along the way. The grassy slopes that lead down to the ocean provide family BBQ areas. Wildlife abounds in the National Park, bandicoots, rock wallabies and brush turkeys can be glimpsed amoung the boulders and thick undergrowth. The park is also well located to the main arterial road for those wishing to take day trips to the north or south.
