Getting There : Launceston is located approximately 20 minutes drive from Launceston Airport.
From the airport or Hobart follow the A1 highway to Launceston. As you enter Launceston you will be on Bathurst St. Turn right off Bathurst St into Frederick St. Follow Frederick St until you reach a t-junction and turn left into George St. Follow George St for 2 blocks and turn right into York Street. Waratah on York is located on the left hand side at number 12.
Waratah on York is situated central to Launceston's many attractions and our knowledgeable staff can assist you with information and an excellent range of brochures and maps.
Take a stroll to City Park, just a minute away and visit the Tasmanian Design Centre and the monkey enclosure. Wander through Launceston's many and varied specialty stores, or visit the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. A must see is Launceston's picturesque Cataract Gorge.
Spend a day travelling the Tamar River Wine Route, visiting the wineries, the lavender farm, waterfalls and much more, or take a half day cruise along the river.
From Launceston, you can also make a day trip to Cradle Mountain or spend a day visiting the townships such as Longford and Evandale in the northern region.
