Does reception operate 24 hours?
Reception hours: Mon-Fri from 7am to 10pm and Sat-Sun from 7am to 9pm. Any arrivals outside reception hours will require a DOOR CODE and key out procedure for building access and check-in. Please contact reception and advise your arrival time.
What happens when assistance from reception or the DOOR CODE is required after hours?
A night service is available to guests if they require assistance (or in case of emergency), by phoning the hotels number on (03)9418 6666 and pressing Option 1.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 2pm, however should you be arriving earlier please advise reception and we will endeavour to get the room ready for when you arrive, if not we are happy to keep your luggage unitl the room is ready. Please remember that guests arriving after 7pm Mon-fri and 5pm Sat-Sun, need to obtain the DOOR CODE and Key Out Procedure.
Check-out is at 10am. Late check-outs can be requested and subject to availability.

There are 3 guest floors with 51 apartments. We have a lift/elevator and stairwells at the front and rear of the building.

We have complimentary on-site parking at the rear of the building. Parking permits are required and available from reception upon check-in.
How far is Eastern Town House to Melbourne CBD?
Eastern Town House is only 1 km from the City. Albert Street is the continuation of Lonsdale Street in the CBD. By foot it takes approximately 20 minutes or 2 minutes in a car. The 109 tram that runs can be caught on Collins Street will travel right through Collins Street and connects to Victoria Parade which is one block parallel to Eastern Town House. If you get off at Stop #17 and walk one block to your right down Simpson Street, turn right at the next street, which is Albert Street. About 5 houses down and you will find Eastern Town House at # 90 Albert Street. We are directly across the road from the East Melbourne Tennis Courts and Powlett Reserve.
Is the hotel located in a good tourist area?
The establishment is located in a superb area in close proximity to all Melbourne's major attractions. Only a short 10-15 minute walk to the Melbourne Cricket Ground and The Rod Laver Tennis Centre.
Bridge Rd, the well known shopping strip for Factory Outlet stores is only a 15 minute walk from ETH, every shoppers paradise!
The City and Southbank including the Casino are only a short tram ride. The beautiful Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens are just down the road between us and the city. Our wonderful new Museum, Aquarium and Federation Square are also in close proximity.
