It was a perfect setting for us, 2 couples looking for some peace and quiet. Beautiful garden, tasteful decoration and furnished, attention to details.... Not to mention a romantic candle lid BBQ dinner in the garden, PRICELESS!

My husband and I found Briardale an absolute joy to stay in. The three "P's" were all met perfectly. The product ( in this case - the place) was beautiful. The whole home was a delight as was the very professional breakfast - cooked to perfection! The people (in this case Robert and Robynne) were friendly, informative and true professionals. Finally...the price...bargin for the quality!!! Thank you so much :)

Loved staying at Briardale. So relaxing and very much a home away frm home. I am phobic about cleanliness hence travelling and hotels are a nightmare for me however I was absolutely comfortable there and will definitely be back for a longer stay. We had dinner a 3 course meal on the night of our arrival which was perfect. No need to go out.

Thank you for your kind review from the UK, not Albury, Australia as you have indicated. To clarify some of your suggestions - the "ersatz orange juice" was actually Apple and Mango from Australia, I believe most of our "orange juice" (reconstituted) comes from Brazil. The reason I have switched to canned fruit is very simple and I assure you is not due to "cost control" , but good, consistent quality - the Kiwi fruit came from Italy or NZ and of poor quality, the grapes from California USA, the same poor quality applied to rockmelon and other fruit. I now use "canned fruit" from SPC which is a local company, growing fruit locally within 150km from us, owned by CCL an Australian company. The jams come from Yackandandah, 40 km distant and the marmalade from my grapefuit, orange and lime trees in the garden. Fresh fruit is always available for guests in the dining room. I would like to think we are supporting our local and Australian growers and trust this alleviates your negative impression of us. Once again, thank you for your kind review, Robert & Robyn.

Our stay at Briardale was fantastic, Our hosts Robyn & Robert are lovely and warm people. if we needed them they we there otherwise we could relax and read and talk. Upon entering this lovely place you feel at home, having the garden to wander through and then also the park next store was a bonus. Their lovely little parrots were entertaining and mrs magpie having a bath was fun to watch. Russ loved his cooked brekky and the breakfast room set up made us feel like we were in an english manor house. I must say I felt safe with the gates being opened by remote.

It's like entering another world, an olde world, peaceful, beautiful, homely, sophisticated, spotlessly clean and tidy, an opportunity to enjoy surroundings that normally exist only in a movie or a story book.

A quick overnight stay on our road trip through to Sydney. Lovely to relax in the garden after a long drive. Room was very comfy and the bed great with no roll to the middle. Bathroom was very clean and the water hot. After a great nights sleep we hit the road again and really enjoyed our very short stay with a great host, Robert. Sorry we didn't get to meet Robyn.

We felt very welcome at Briardale from the moment Rob greeted us at the gate until he farewelled us next morning. Robyn also took time from her busy work schedule to meet us as soon as she arrived home and to farewell us before leaving for work next morning. We enjoyed chatting to Rob & Robyn after dinner and the warm friendly atmosphere that prevailed throughout our visit. We couldn't fault anything about our accommodation. We will certainly return if we are passing through Albury again and recommend Briardale to family & friends.

What a pleasant surprise to arrive at Briadale and find such a comfortable,exceptionally clean and spacious B&B. Our room looked over the beautiful garden and park in the distance. Hosts, Robert and Robyn made us feel very welcome. They have put a tremendous amount of thought into providing everything a traveller needs making a stay there feel like home. The spacious lounge room with it's pianola, antique furniture and collectables provides the perfect atmosphere for guests to sit back, relax with a coffee or port and chat with each other. The breakfast was sumptutous and set us up for the rest of the day. We would thorougly recommend Briadale and certainly return if we travel to Albury again.

I have nothing but praise for Robert and Robyn. We had a lovely time. The rooms were large and comfortable. The Manor and gardens were beautiful.
