Alexandra House is a heritage listed property built in 1908, recently refurbished containing many original features from the Victoria Era but with the luxuries of today.
This charming property rests on the Melbourne side of Ballarat, only minutes from the CBD and local tourist attractions.
The main house comprises 4 extremely spacious bedrooms, most with ensuites. Perfect for that taste of life in the 18th century.
The main property also features several sitting rooms, should you wish to mingle with other guests, along with a billiard room with onsite bar.
The 5 outside units, all with private facilities, (1 featuring a spa) are centred around the main gardens for that relaxing afternoon sun.
Breakfast: A hearty country style breakfast is cooked to your liking on site by our resident Chef, and can be taken in the spacious dining room or in the privacy of your own room.
Fantastic for couples on that romantic getaway
The property was well run by a friendly manager, and the units were comfortable without being luxurious. Wi-fi reception in the units was less than impressive, which didn't matter too much to us - I simply used my mobile broadband - but might be of some concern to business travellers. The breakfast was generous, and the dining room pleasant,
