The Colonial officers who originally lived in the Barracks certainly did not enjoy the superb comforts you'll find here today. Built in 1830, using local convict bricks, this charming National Trust Registered property is a restful haven for the deserving traveller.
Choose between any of these three elegantly restored units:
* Lady Esther Cottage: two storey, self contained family accommodation, sleeps four comfortably.
* The Retreat: bedroom, lounge, kitchenette, bathroom, sleeps two/three comfortably.
* The Cellar: studio with kitchenette and bathroom sleeps two only.
You'll be comfortable and warm with electric blankets and heat pumps for the cooler nights, with air conditioning for the warmer nights, these are fitted in all cottages. A hearty continental breakfast basket is provided and delivered to your cottage.

House is very beautiful and Very clean and tidy. Breakfast were very nice. Bed are comfortable. Kitchen is full of utilise and we can cook yummy dinner every night! Wifi connection is very good! Very close to Hobart and is the best place for us to travel southern part of Tasmania! I wish I can come back again!
