Classy, comfortable, cosy and not a lace doily in sight, Currawong Roost still retains the charm of it's historic roots. What was once an old run down cottage has been given a new lease on life with a sensitive modern make over. Rest and relaxation were paramount in the renovation of this 1860's stone cottage. The lounge room has a big open fire place, leather sofas and an up to the minute entertainment unit with wide screen TV, DVD and CD. The master bedroom has a king bed and en-suite relaxation area while the spacious new bathroom has a double spa bath. The kitchen is sleek and modern with full facilities including dishwasher and separate dining area. For the cofee-aholics there is an espresso machine, or plunger and fresh coffee beans. We also supply a selection of teas including loose tea and a tea pot. You can cook up a storm if that is your desire, or head out to one of the Barossa's many excellent eateries. If you choose to stay longer and really soak up the delights of this wonderful cottage and the region there are full laundry facilities as well and very competitive "accommodation only" rates for weekly or longer stays.
Please note that Currawong Roost is a No Smoking indoors accommodation. If there is evidence of smoking indoors an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

Things to Do
There is plenty to see and do. There is a great restaurant - The Lord Lyndoch that has a Steak Cellar on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Lyndoch Bakery is famous for its German styled products and a great spot for lunch. And the Butcher is worth a visit to buy some of his famous smallgoods. There are plenty of wineries within a few kilometres of your accommodation. There are big ones like Yaldara with its famous Chateau, Chateau Barrosa with its huge rose garden and plenty of medium sized wineries like Cimicky, Kies, Schild Estate, Kellermeister and Trevor Jones Wines, Ross Estate and Burge Family Winemakers. The Sandy Creek Conservation Park is only a kilometre up the road and a wonderful spot for birdwatching.
