Thornton Beach House and Bungalows are nestled between the Daintree World Heritage National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. We are just across the road from stunning Thornton Beach - one of the best beaches on the Daintree Coast. The spacious, open plan, solar powered beach house is primarily glass louvres to make the most of the views of both the Coral Sea and the surrounding rainforest. Thornton Beach House sleeps up to ten people, with its two bedrooms in the house and two detached, ensuite bedrooms approximately 10 metres from the main house.
We also rent out the ensuite cabins separately, for romantic holidays for two. They contain a queen bed, bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, and private verandahs with views of the Coral Sea.
Thornton Beach House & Bungalows are the only holiday accommodation at Thornton Beach. Sleeping up to ten people, it is the ideal location for groups or large families. The beach house is open planned and with tiles throughout, it gives the house a cool and spacious feel. We are very well situated, being half way between Cape Tribulation and Cow Bay, with their tours, attractions, boardwalks and restaurants.

Getting There :Heading north from Cairns or Port Douglas, follow the Captain Cook Highway, through the township of Mossman. 25 kms north of Mossman is a road to the right signposted Daintree River and Cape Tribulation. Turn right here, cross the river on the Daintree Ferry, then travel for 20 kms (20 minutes) until you reach Thornton Beach. Look out for Thornton Beach Kiosk on the right hand side, Thornton Beach House & Bungalows are opposite, on the left.

| It's just a 15 minute drive to the meeting place for many tours including snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, horse riding, crocodile spotting tours, Jungle Surfing, sea kayaking, exotic fruit tasting, guided walks, as well as self guided walks, beach combing and swimming in fresh water swimming holes
