How far away from the city is East Melbourne and Knightsbridge Apartments?
We are about 1km from the heart of the CBD. It takes about 20 minutes to walk or there is public transport (Tram) just arround the corner that goes along Flinders Street, about a 10 minute trip.
Are you in walking distance to the MCG?
We are about a 15-20 minutes walk to the MCG and about 20-25 minutes from the Rod Laver Tennis Centre and Vodafone Arena.
Are there any Restaurants close by?
We have a selection of Restaurants, cafe's and Takeaways just a short stroll from the front door of our building.
Is there any shopping in your area besides the City centre.?
We are in walking proximity of Bridge Road, which has some factory outlet shops, boutiques and Restaurants. One can also take the tram along Bridge Road.
Can one cook in the rooms?
Each of our units have a small kitchenette, these comprise of a small fridge, 2 burner hotplate, sink, microwave and all the cuttlery and crockery.
Where can I get groceries?
We have a 7-Eleven store just arround the corner, and there are 2 other convenience stores in close proximity. Each of the stores are open 7 days and provide groceries, takeaway items and household items.
Is there transport to and from the Airport ?
There is a shuttle bus service that leaves the airport at a regular interval just out the front of the main airport building. When the shuttle bus arrives in the city they also provide a 'hotel drop-off' service. We can arrange a return trip to the airport with a 'pickup' from our property, the trip takes aproximately 1 hour.
Are there any attractions in your area?
We are very close to the Fitzroy Gardens, a large and tranquil park, dividing East Melbourne from the City centre. One can take a stroll or visit Captain Cooks 'Cottage' or have afternoon tea at the cafe located in the heart of the Park. The Royal Botanic Gardens are also within walking distance from our property, a great place to unwind and check out a great selection of fauna and events. One can also take guided tours of the MCG which is just 2 minutes from us or come and watch a AFL football match on the weekend.
