Is the pool able to be used in winter?

Yes, the pool is solar heated and is used all the year around, in fact we have to turn the solar heating off in Summer as it gets too warm. The pool temperature during winter (our dry season, which is also our 'peak' season, runs from then middle June through to the middle of October each year) is usually between 20 and 25 degrees.


Do you have a lift?

Grosvenor in Cairns is a 3 storey 'walk up' apartment complex and there is no lift. Having said that, we always provide assistance with luggage to and from the apartments. If stairs are a problem then make sure you request a ground floor apartment when making a booking or an enquiry.


Can tours be booked at the Grosvenor?

Yes; we actually encourage our guests not to pre book tours or to book tours through a travel agent as you can locked in to a date and tour type that may not end up suiting you. We would prefer if our guests contacted us prior to arrival and gave us some information on the type of tours they would like to do. We have actually been on most of the tours and we use our experience to pick the best tours for each particular guest. There is no additional charge for this service. Although we may know which tours guests wish to book weeks before their arrival, we usually wait until 3 or 4 days before they arrive to book their tours so we can pick the best days weather wise for their tours.


Studios are the cheapest room type - do they have any cooking facilities?

Our Studios are the main bedroom section of a 2 bedroom apartment. When the interconnecting door is closed and locked the Studio can be let out as a separate room. The Studio on its own is a hotel room style of accommodation and while there are no cooking facilities, there are tea & coffee making facilities, a toaster and plates, cups, glasses and cutlery for 2 guests.


Are there hair dryers in the apartments or do I have to bring my own?

Every bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer so in a Studio or a 1 bedroom apartment there is one hairdryer n the bathroom while in a 2 bedroom apartment (2 bathrooms) there is a hair dryer in each bathroom.
