Grande Florida Resort

Very enjoyable. The location was great and the pools, magnificent. The staff were very helpful.

We loved our overnight stay here! We were in unit 108 - 1st floor 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. This unit has been very recently renovated and it has tiles throughout. There's a 2nd TV in main bedroom. The pools are fabulous - great toddler pool which is shaded and has sandpit area and one of the pools is heated which was great. A couple of nice BBQ areas and plenty of tables and lounges around the pool. Patrolled beach just across the road. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will be back for sure - and for more than one night next time!!

We really enjoyed our stay, our only issue was that the dishwasher didnt work the whole time we were there.My husbands hands are a lot more wrinkled now!! Ha Ha Otherwise it was great!

Loved the complex, pools and location. The bar-b-cue areas were lovely and clean. Our only negative comment would be that the apartment we were in needed a makeover - the carpets were very old and dirty - our feet got dirty from walking around on them without shoes on! If we come again we will ask for a tiled apartment. Would even buy into the place if we could afford it. Location is superb and we really enjoyed our walks along the beach.

Booked 3 nights at special tariff $110/night. We mostly needed a place to sleep while attending a wedding & catching up with friends & family so didn't make much use of facilities. However did appreciate the warmed lagoon pool & easy beach access. Our unit (#1) was at ground level which we liked. The GOOD: Comfy bed, very clean, pleasantly furnished, secure, peaceful and quiet location. Nice pools and gardens. The ORDINARY: Unit 1 looking a little shabby and in need of some TLC. Some basic maintenance would not go astray. Most taps need turning off hard or they drip. Bathroom door latch is dicky. Resort itself is a bit dated and some of the facilities look 'tired' Eg-we went to the Sauna, then changed our minds. Generally though, the property looks pretty good. The BAD: A/C didn't work. Horrible 'rotten' odour came and went from kitchen sink hole & disposal unit. We didn't use the latter bar flushing it to try clear the pong. Ended up plugging both holes to keep it in. This is why 7/10 for cleanliness. Everything else was 9. Ironing board & iron - great! Pity the board cover was oversized and unsecured which made ironing very difficult & frustrating. On the whole - no regrets. We got what we paid for (almost) and the most important need - a comfy bed and quiet surrounds meant good sleeping. Would we return? Maybe, but more likely to suggest this property to young families who would probably get best enjoyment value from what this resort offers. Certainly wouldn't pay more than we did for this recent stay if considering Grande Florida again.

My service and staff rating only applies to two of your staff members. The dark haired girl working during the week offers excellent help and service i am very thankful to her for making our stay so pleasureable with her help and competancy of her job also the lady that is a bit older also knows what she is doing and also very helpful . Without these two ladies my rating would have been very poor for the other 2 staff members at reception especially the asian girl she has a lot to learn and unfortunately dosent come up to the high standards of the other girls.

We has a great time and will be back again.

Great place to relax and unwind

Lovely experience staying at these very clean and well maintained accomodation, pity other guests couldn't be mindful of guests in adjoining units, other than that highy recommended

Had a great time, only negative was one of the air conditioners wasn't working (room 186).

Very nice setting, The pool and stairwells could do with a clean. and a few more cooking utencils would be good but apart from that is a nice enough place.

Overall our experience and stay at the Grande Florida Resort was very good. The staff could have been a little more helpful and friendlier. The gardens and pool/BBQ areas were always spotless and well maintained. Our room has been refurbished recentley and was very comfortable, although if you have more than 2 children I would recommend a 3 B/R apartment.This is excellent value for money accomodation for a family with young children and I would recommend the resort to a family looking for a relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely holiday. We all loved the resort. The staff were excellent very welcoming and very friendly. It was great to be offered the use of the car to shop when we arrived. It was an unexpected bonus and was greatly appreciated. I also liked how the BBQ's were alway clean. Your resort was recommended to me and I will be recommending it to others

we had a great time, only the stairs were not good to get to the third floor, as we booked months ahead and asked for a ground floor because of 2 people with knee replacments. we were not going to pay the $50 per nite extra to be placed on the ground floor, ??? as it is only a push of a button to put people were they require. $350 extra for the week would have made us look else where for our accomodation

Excellent location and lovely set up. particularly liked that bbq's were so spread out that you could have a private dinner. Lovely pools. everything clean and well maintained. Loved the apartment.

We had a lovely time - really enjoyed the cold and tepid pools plus the easy access to the beach. The location was fantastic, and once we worked out how to use the Go card and the bus timetable, we came and went up the coast with ease without having to stay in the hustle and bustle of Surfers/Braodbeach. The apartment was great. Clean, well-equipped, and we made good use of the washing machine and drier. See below for the faults that needed attention. Otherwise, thanks for providing a terrific holiday spot.

We absolutely thrilled with the accommodation that we booked unseen on the internet! We will certainly stay there again.

Apart from the room not being ready on time, we had to wait another hour to unpack, the resort fulfilled our expectations. Have stayed at the resort 3 times now and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends or family.

very pleasant, everything within easy distance, left to our own devices which was nice.

It was our first family holiday with all the kids ans we all really enjoyed ourselves. I think a queen size bed in the main bedrrom wouldve made our stay that little bit more compfy and if i could suggest an enclosed play area with a swing/seesaw etc, where you had the two little box climbing things! I dont think i saw one kid play there the whole time. Maybe if it was fenced and put bark down, (wont have to mow it then) that would be a definate aded bonus for the parents with littlies. One more thing i thought wouldve been nice, a board game or two! However, we still enjoyed our stay and would recomend it to our friends and family.

I have never enjoyed a stay anywhere as much as I enjoyed staying at Grande Florida. The apartment was nothing short of superb with everything supplied that you could possibly need. You are to be congratulated on a resort that has everything, especially for children. I had the most relaxing time that I can remember. My son and I are already planning a return family holiday next year.

Thank you for wonderful facilites. We all loved the heated pool - very nice for the days when it wasn't as warm as we would have liked.

We had a lovely time; any issues we had were quickly fixed up by the staff. Heated pool temp was excellent and the location is perfect. The only issue we had was the wifi. Despite paying $7.50 x 2 (seems excessive to run 2 ipods) the kids had to go outside our apartment in order to get a connection. Too expensive, and needs to work properly, especially if charging this much.
