I am a regular guest at the Crest and simply could not recommend it highly enough. It is a somewhat hidden Gem that I believe may sometimes be overlooked by potential cliental because of the ludicrous value for money it represents. The location is as good as it gets and the extremely personal yet un-intrusive service from all the staff is better than any 5 start hotel I stay at. They are all just lovely! it just has such a warm welcoming and friendly vibe, and in every direction is a short walk to the eclectic action offered around the St Kilda area. I am from Victoria however now reside is Qld and the Crest is unquestionably my home away from home. Put simply, I could not possibly recommend the Crest more highly.

We had a nice stay thank you. Our only issue was the carparking. I know it's not something that can really be fixed but the carpark is near impossible to maneuver around in. At $20 per night and then you aren't even guaranteed a spot either. We got our small car jammed in the car park on Saturday night, I was terrified of scratching it and then had to move on without being able to get a park at all. Unfortunately, it is something that would possibly put me off future stays.

Double room (no window) - reported shower leak onto bathroom floor after 1st night. We were moved to room 04. There was no hair dryer, and we ran out of milk for tea. Both requests were handled efficiently.
