We had a lovely stay. John and Lynda were very friendly and accommodating. We love the location so close to town and the beach and the unit was very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

The best location in Merimbula, with superb views over the lake and a short stroll to the town centre. Stayed for one week in May 2016 in a two-story townhouses which was spacious and very comfortable with a private balcony. The bedrooms and bathroom are located on the ground floor with the living area on the top floor. A very pleasant and quite stay and would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in Merimbula and Penquin Mews. The top floor apartment had a lovely view and was within walking distance to the town centre. The apartment was very comfortable and John was helpful, friendly and approachable and even helped carry one of our bags up the stairs to our apartment. It was a nice surprise to have free access to the washing machines.

In terms of comfort, the lower floor (bedrooms) were quite hot on the hotter days, there was not much air flow and no fans, making the nights a little harder to sleep when it was like that.

It was perfect for us. The back patio was great to store our bikes. Front patio was fantastic with the large doors opening from loungeroom. We really felt we had lots of space for three young children.

Warmly greeted and allowed to check in early as our suite was ready. Very nice view. Very close to all amenities in town including groceries, bottle shop, fish shop, restaurants. Easy walk to tennis courts. Even had a pick up service arranged through Tura Golf Course, so we could readily golf even without a car. 10 minute walk to sandy beach on lake. About a 40 min walk along a wooded coastal path to get to lovely Bar Beach and only a few minutes farther to get to the fishing pier. Hosts allowed us to use their phone for a local call and found a coffee press for us when requested.

We were dubious about this accommodation as we booked really late in the season and it was one of the only places available so we thought there must be something wrong with it. Not so. Great walking distance to all restaurants, cafes, shops, boardwalk and small beach. Easy drive to ocean beach. Very spacious apartment with nice views. Everything was convenient and made for a relaxing family holiday. The pool & table tennis were a bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay at Penguin Mews. The two bedroom town house was very spacious with lots of cutlery and real mugs for coffee. There was an abundance of storage and huge wardrobes. Beds were also very comfortable. Having a washing machine in the room was an added bonus as was having a laundry with a dryer on site. Penguin Mews is perfectly located right in the heart of Merrimbula. Would definitely stay again
