	Car Parking : Parking is very limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending on your booking dates, on high demand dates there may be a small fee for parking. Please contact the hotel if you are planning on bringing a car and inquire about parking availability, prices and other options when booking your stay.

They will pick you up from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and drop you off at Southern Cross train station bus terminal. From there, you can either catch a taxi in front of the station or take public transport, depending on when you arrive at Southern Cross Station. We are within a short stroll to a 24h hour 7-Eleven store, general store, many cafes and Restaurants, chemist, Auspost and Dry Cleaning.

Shopping and Restaurants in Richmond only a few minutes walk away. Take a stroll through Fitzroy Gardens and check out Captain Cooks Cottage. The city centre of Melbourne offers great shopping, Museum, Aquarium, Casino and Arts Centre. All major cinemas and theatres located just minutes away. Our friendly reception staff can assist you with any tour bookings that you wish to make.

We are within a short stroll to a 24h hour 7-Eleven store, many cafes and Restaurants, chemist with Tattslotto Agency, and Dry Cleaning with DVD hire available.

1. How far away from the city is East Melbourne and Knightsbridge Apartments?

We are about 1km from the heart of the CBD. It takes about 20 minutes to walk or there is public transport (Tram) just arround the corner that goes along Flinders Street, about a 10 minute trip.

2. Are you in walking distance to the MCG?

We are about a 5 minutes walk to the MCG and about 15 minutes from the Rod Laver Tennis Centre and Vodafone Arena.

3. Are there any Restaurants close by?

We have a selection of Restaurants, cafe's and Takeaways just a short stroll from the front door of our building.

4. Is there any shopping in your area besides the City centre.?

We are in walking proximity of Bridge Road, which has some factory outlet shops, boutiques and Restaurants. One can also take the tram along Bridge Road.

5. Can one cook in the rooms?

Each of our units have a small kitchenette, these comprise of a small fridge, 2 burner hotplate, sink, microwave and all the cuttlery and crockery.

6. Where can I get groceries?

We have a 7-Eleven store just arround the corner, and there are 2 other convenience stores in close proximity. Each of the stores are open 7 days and provide groceries, takeaway items and household items.

8. Are there any attractions in your area?

We are very close to the Fitzroy Gardens, a large and tranquil park, dividing East Melbourne from the City centre. One can take a stroll or visit Captain Cooks 'Cottage' or have afternoon tea at the cafe located in the heart of the Park. The Royal Botanic Gardens are also within walking distance from our property, a great place to unwind and check out a great selection of fauna and events. One can also take guided tours of the MCG which is just 2 minutes from us or come and watch a AFL football match on the weekend.

9. Parking

Parking Information Parking is very limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis and, depending on demand for your booking dates, is subject to a $10 per night charge. If on-site parking is unavailable, there are several public car parks within a 9-minute walk, which our team will be happy to direct you to upon arrival. Please contact the hotel if you are planning on bringing a car and we can provide further information and help you plan your parking accordingly.

Booking Policy

BOOKINGS:
Bookings can be made directly with the hotel via phone 03 9973 9868 or via our online booking button. Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. All accommodation bookings must be guaranteed at the time of reservation by provision / deposit of valid credit card details. This credit card must be valid prior and for the entire stay. Please present the credit card used to make the reservation upon check-in at the hotel. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you must contact the hotel directly to arrange for third party billing. By providing valid credit card details you warrant that you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise Knightsbridge Apartments to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card in the case of cancellation or no show penalties as detailed below. Please note that Knightsbridge Apartments requires a $100 pre-authorisation charge upon check-in to cover any addition charges or to cover any damage. This amount, if not used, will be released on the day of check out.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:
Standard check- in time is 2.00pm. The name of the booking (or nominee) must be the person checking in. Standard check- out time is 10.00am. Late checkouts are available upon request. Please contact reception to check availability. Additional fees may be applied. A late check-out fee may apply if the property is not vacated prior to the set check-out time of the property.

IDENTIFICATION:
Upon arrival at Knightsbridge Apartments guests must provide Federal or State Government issued photographic identification for security purposes. The booking must be under the name of the person checking in unless the hotel has been notified prior to arrival and accepted. In addition, the guest must also provide a credit card in the name of the photographic ID.

Deposit Policy

100% of total booking cost will be charged to the credit card at the time of booking. Any foreign Master/Visa Card will be charged 2.5% overseas transaction fee, and all American Express Card and Diners Card will be charged 2.5% for the surcharge.

PRE-AUTHORISATION AT CHECK-IN:
We require full payment of accommodation at check-in. We also require a pre-authorisation amount of $100 for any incidentals. The pre-authorised amount is set aside by your bank for a period of between 5 and 28 working days. The pre-authorisation amount will affect your available funds balance or spending limit. For more information on this practice we suggest contacting your bank. Once a pre-authorisation has been made, we cannot release, remove or lower the authorised amount, until we process the final account on departure. Knightsbridge Apartments reserve the right to pre-authorise all credit cards upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Guests can cancel free of charge 72 hours prior to 2pm of the day of arrival with no penalty. Cancellation after this time will incur a cancellation fee. This cancellation policy does not apply to group bookings or special events, these require 7 day notice prior to 2pm of the day of arrival with no penalty. Cancellation after this time will incur a cancellation fee.

No Show Policy

NO SHOWS / FAILURE TO CANCEL:
Each rate booked at Knightsbridge Apartments is subject to a Cancellation Policy. Failure to check-in on the reserved arrival date will incur a penalty charge as detailed in the Cancellation Policy of the particular type of rate booked. We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error. We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings if they do not adhere to our terms & conditions. If a guest chooses to shorten their stay or check out early and the modification was not made prior to free cancellation date the full amount of the stay is charged, as detailed in the Cancellation Policy associated with the rate booked.

Other Policy

Room cleaning is done on request by contacting the front desk before 11am daily. There is no service on Sundays and public holidays.

FEES CHARGEABLE TO GUESTS ACCOUNT INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Lost or not return the room keys will be charged to your security hold or bank card.
Smoking in rooms $200 cleaning fee will be charged. Room degradation such as vomit, bodily wastes a $500 cleaning fee will be charged, plus any professional floor cleaning charges at cost, plus a daily room tariff equal to the daily tariff that we would charge if the room was available to be let or any other rate that may be agreed to by the management, in accordance with business demand on the day, until the said room has been returned to its saleable condition. Cost of repair or replacement for general damage or theft of Hotel property and any problem sufficient to result in a room being withdrawn from its availability to be let. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

Knightsbridge Apartments cannot be held liable for omissions or errors whether temporary or permanent of the propertys facilities and services. Photos shown on the website are indicative only and may not specifically represent the exact room allocated to you. Destination images featured on Knightsbridge Apartments website may not represent the views offered from our location. Accommodation facilities listed may not apply to all room types.

RELOCATION:
In the event of a situation whereby Knightsbridge Apartments cannot provide accommodation as previously confirmed for whatever reason, the hotel will undertake to relocate guests to a comparable alternate property at its absolute discretion with no additional cost to the guest. Should the guest wish to choose a property of higher standard other than offered, under this condition the guest will be required to pay any price difference. Should the guest not wish to accept the relocation a full refund & booking cancellation may be granted.
