We have had the room in the rear of the motel (not facing the main rd) on the previous 2 stays and our stay was quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately this time we had a room facing the main rd and the traffic noise and pollution (from the car park) and cigarette smoke were unbearable. Another problem was that we had very noisy neighbours who kept us up all night on the last night of our stay. We did contact the manager about the noisy neighbours and he did try to rectify the situation at 2.30 a.m but the noisy antics continued till 5 a.m. The walls were paper thin and you could here everything that was going on in the adjoining rooms.

Enjoyed the movies, the aircon, the spacious and clean rooms. Minor annoyance was screaming water pipes from next door waking us up Sunday morning - but hey, it's an old property, what can you do?! Overall happy - and felt very warmly welcomed.

Peter & partner ? (sorry forgotten her name) made us feel welcome and were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our spacious room and its location (upstairs and on the eastern side away from traffic noise in St Geoge Rd) and undercover car parking was appreciated as was location next to tramlines and bike tracks. We will definitely stay again on our next Melbourne visit.

Pleasant helpful owner and reception staff. The bed good, room size spacious. Nice that it was so clean. Only down side was the slightly dated decor, but for the low price we pay it is a small consideration. Really convenient to bus, train, trams and near our young family. Terrific not to pay parking too.

Reception was good, helpful and friendly. They allowed me to park a trailer which I had with me no charge. The in-house dining appeared expensive, however they provided brochures to local fast food places which was very helpful, so you had a choice. Convenience dispenser downstairs for snacks, etc. Deli a short distance away.

We chose motel as it was close to private function we were attending. motel is at a reasonable walking distance to food/supplies. Disappointed there were no self catering facilities in room apart from tea/coffee making. Comfortable clean room. No lift to upstairs area. Not aware we had an upstairs booking which made it difficult to get luggage up stairs. Good service from main desk after inquiring about local services. Tram access close by is a big bonus for city access.

We would not normally stay that distance from the near city adjacent suburbs - East Melbourne has been our preferred area. This trip was specific to attend a function adjacent to your motel. The short time spent there was hassle free and fair value, we generally prefer self contained units to give us flexability in what we choose to do re eating out or being self sufficient and relaxing where we are staying. Sorry we cannot identify where you fit into the Melbourne Market in the broad context as our stay based on internet searching for a place adjacent to where we were attending a private function. Our decision to book with you was influenced after checking feed back comments from past clients on the internet. We were surprised at the roominess of the unit and no road noise - was very quiet and comfortable. The hallway carpet had recently been cleaned but still requires the aesthetic upgrading by replacement at some time unless it can be more successfully cleaned. A small minus is one of the cups and saucers still had coffee stain from previous use - not serious to us as we always check. Linen was was excellent as were the toiletries supplied. The ensemble was adequate and we believe looked relatively new - we always check this area for Bed Bugs, possibly a short term fix but not a robust unit ? The TV worked and actually was tuned to find the channels - wonderful, however,many guests today would expect an LED - LCD unit to watch, while the radio functioned did all required of it. There is excellent public transport on your doorstep - actually very close to many places of entertainment. Hope this is consructive for you to take on board in working out the course to place St Georges on and we confirm it met all our requirements.
