I found the requirement to leave my full credit card details without any guarantee that it would not be used fraudulently because I was suspected as a thief who would abuse the bar fridge and not report consumption details entirely offensive. Given that I had prebooked my accommodation through a secure web site using my credit card surely is a demonstration of my integrity and ability to afford to pay for anything I may have consumed.

Over All Good. But I had difficulties with the shower. It was a small shower stall, and I therefore could not avoid the scalding hot and freezing cold water that came out of the shower head intermittently. The medium temperature setting was prone to unexpected and unpleasant extreme changes.

The accomodation was very comfortable and met all needs but what will definately make me return again was the fantastic staff.
I do not know the lady's name but on the day that my taxi didn't show up one of the wonderful staff drove me in her own car to my course so I was not late. This goes above and beyond expectations for an accomodation venue. Thank you so much for looking after me so well. I will definately reccommend and return to The Buckingham!

Hot water in shower was very sensitive so water was either dangerously hot or cold. Also ran out of hot water on one occassion. Otherwise nice room, good location for visiting our nearby family. This was our second visit.

I stayed at the Highett and Bay St apartments. The above ratings are applicable for the apartment at Bay St. The apartment at Highett is dated and is comparable in quality to the great accommodation Buckingham provided at Bay St. I will definitely stay at Buckingham Bay St in my next visit to Melbourne.

As you can see from ratings it was a good stay. However our toilet didn't flush properyly & spoke to two gentleman with no action taken. Also extremely noisey on Fri nigth from other guests couldn't get to sleep I had a son who had just had an operation on Fri morning and he didn't sleep at all with the noise. Management should have known about this as it was VERY noisey.

My only disappointment was that I requested a non-smoking room (and was very kindly given one) but, unfortunately, could continuously smell cigarette smoke which I think was due to the fact that a cigarette butt container was housed right outside the room. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cigarette smoke and become ill if I am exposed to it over a period of time. I left the next morning feeling unwell which was a great shame as the hotel itself is lovely and was excellent value for money.
