The location was not only very handy to the city but East Melbourne has such very interesting and beautiful architecture. The breakfast (included in the price) was amazing and really set us up for the day. The bedroom was cosy and bed comfortable, the only criticism would be that our bathroom was a little tired but it was clean. We have already recommended the hotel to our friends.

We booked at the Magnolia Court Hotel to be close to the MCG (Melbourne Marathon). Although not a brand spanking new hotel we found the room comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful. Although i had to leave at 6.00am for the Marathon my wife stayed and enjoyed the buffet style breakfast that was included in the price. Off street car parking is also a bonus. No complaints from this stay.

It was fine for what I needed at the time. Service was pleasant and efficient. There were a couple of difficulties in the room, both with the bathroom. First: the cold tap in the basin runs hot a lot of the time - it eventually runs cold, but often takes a lot of water to get there. Second, the shower head is set too low and I found it difficult to get properly wet. A head on a sliding pole would be a good compromise - at least you could then detach it and wet yourself wherever. Breakfast options were excellent.

A perfect place to stay while visiting Melbourne. The hotel has a lot of character, is efficiently run and offers everthing that is needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Breakfast is more than adequate, but the 7.30 start is a bit late for working visits that require meetings in the city at 8.30.

Good experience. We find breakfast better than it used to be. Regarding Room 2: 1. The bathroom cistern needs attention. 2. Hot water comes out of the cold tap at the wash basin in bathroom. 3. This was the perfect place for my daughter and I to stay in Melbourne. Right next to the city, with free car parking (a god send!), Magnolia Court had everything we needed.
