Disappointed that the only choice of eggs for breakfast was boiled eggs, chopped bacon, really need to diversify and make eggs according to customers request i.e. scrambled, fried etc. Toaster was broken,, and had to wait for the trays to be refilled with sausages and bacon, felt that this should not have happened.

I enjoyed the quiet and tranquility of the hotel. I wanted something to eat and didn't know where to find somewhere close by. I had n't expected food preparation equipment in room. Breakfast room and catering was great.

Magnolia Court was in a quite location central to Fitzroy Park, Fed Square, The Art Gallery and Melb City Centre. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there when next we visit Melb. Our only suggestion is that when guests order a taxi for the next morning the Taxi booking details are left so following staff are aware of the booking and were not sure when checking with the taxi company. Fortunately our taxi was only ten minutes late and we just caught our flight. Thank you for the politeness and help of the staff during our stay.

Excellent position, clean room, attentive staff, off street parking and breakfast thrown in. Décor of rooms a bit out-dated and in need of a refurb but the hotel suited our needs i.e. I was running in the Melbourne half marathon and needed somewhere closeby that I could walk to the MCG from.

Quite pleasant, great location and friendly, helpful staff. There was mould in the bathroom (room 17), which had no extraction fan. There was also an annoying intermittent noise of central heating?? or air-conditioning?? which interrupted sleep.

I have now stayed 3 times. I only come to Melbourne for football so proximity to MCG is very good. Each time my stay has been good and I will be staying there in future if room available.

We have stayed here several times now and find it suits us well. Quiet location, easy access to trams, staff very helpful, good value for money, especially with breakfast included. Deluxe room very spacious, good to have a microwave. Toaster good idea but no plates or cutlery so we couldn't really make use of it.

It was good to have the parking voucher for street parking, rather than having to park at the rear; but we were not given a receipt for our deposit for use of the voucher. The breakfast was much better and healthier than expected.

Very impressed with everything. Considering the kafuffle with my credit card, it could have been quite horrible. I was most grateful to the staff for being so patient and considerate. Deeply grateful. Thank you. Checking out I did have a slight communication breakdown with the morning staff despite my obvious lack of clarity of the directions I was being told for the airport shuttle bus. I left the premises with a bad feeling despite my great impressions before. I will definitely stay again next year when I visit though.
