Pleasant stay. This is out third stay this year. We always return because of the value for money and the cute location. We are always made to feel welcome and the buffet breakfast is always enjoyable. Staff also allowed me to keep a bag there during the day even after check out. Very helpful and friendly.

Very good value for money and located so close to all attractions. I ran the marathon on the weekend so this was the perfect location for me. Missed out on the breakfast, but it looked good.

I stayed at Magnolia Court when I attended a week long course in the city. The hotel itself was very quaint, situated on a beautiful leafy street and only a short walk to the city, MCG or Richmond. I stayed in a smallish room but it was more than adequate for one person, the shower water was always hot!! There was ample storage and the microwave, mini fridge, kettle and toaster were an added bonus. Rooms and hotel were very clean and the buffet breakfast was more than satisfactory. The staff were polite and helpful. I felt safe and secure and would definitely recommend to singles or couples wanting to be close to the city but without the hefty price tag of the larger inner city hotels.

The room was basic but comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good, although a bit more variety with the hot choices on different days would be good. I would recommend it to anyone. Lack of lift a problem with luggage - some help with heavy bags up the stairs would be appreciated. More attention to detail needed - I had no hangers in my room and some more crockery and cutlery would be good seeing as there is a fridge and microwave and toaster. These were very much appreciated. Security excellent, which is really important.. One staff member a bit prickly. Otherwise it was great and I'll be back!

Minor hiccup with room on checkin. Booked twin but upgraded to double (two room).Needed sofa bed, ultimately sorted okay. Things happen. Rooms maybe not as flash as say Mantra down the road, but throw in hot breakfast makes this a good choice for short stay in Melbourne

This is the second time I've stayed here. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The service and staff is outstanding and made us feel very welcome. Only negatives in our room was a loose tile in the bathroom floor (room 16) and the toilet tap was leaking also. However, we enjoyed our stay and will be back ago soon :)

Good. Loved the breakfast. Car parking was an issue and not being able to get keys back when reception was shut if we wanted to go out. Not being able to use the only parking permit left because there wasn't enough wasn't great, either. No hooks in bathroom was unhelpful.

Very convenient and the staff are terrific.we booked and early arrival for 1pm but arrived at 12.10. The host did not fluster at all and within 5 minutes our room was prepared and we allowed thru. The breakfast room is very quite and an nice way to start the day.

The location was ideal for what we wanted, it was a great walk through the gardens to reach the theatres and restaurants. Also its closeness to the M.C.G and the tennis centre.We loved just walking around the local streets and seeing the historic buildings, which is one reason why we chose Magnolia, for its old world charm. We loved our room with the marble fire place, the emenities were great and the buffett breakfast was very enjoyable. Also the benefit of car parking and the availablity to access your car when required was a big plus. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will definately be staying their in the future.

it was just what we needed, within easy reach of our course, close to restaraunts and town. The only down side would be we hD a single room, twin beds but no where to relax accept on the bed to watch tv, otherwise ideal, great price, free parking. Thank you

Our experience was good overall, thanks. Small issue of having to wait for 10 minutes at front door to be let in, on arrival. Understand receptionist was taken up with people parking cars at back of building.
