I had a wonderful stay at Riverside Apartments! Would be happy to return anytime! The staff members,Steven,Kerryn & Michaela were excellent in all aspects of service,nothing was too much trouble,which for a disabled guest like myself,was just perfect! I'll be happy to book with you again guys,for a football weekend in Melbourne or during the Boxing Day Test Match,later in 2012! ***** All the way guys,from a very satisfied guest!!!!! Regards! Riverside is the BEST value for money hotel in the Melbourne CBD. The rooms are spacious, the hotel is adjacent to Southbank without the high prices, and you don't hear patrons coming and going all night long. The room also included free breakfast, and it was a welcome night away for my wife and I (we left our 2 young kids with Nan and Pop and had a night to ourselves). The only things I would like to see change is the floor at the entrance to the lift in the annex rooms is uneven - the floor covers don't sit evenly. There is a sign, but my wife had tripped before we read it. It wouldn't be a big job to fix them - some packers under the floor plates would bring them up even. Also, there were a few very obvious stains on the benches in the kitchen and room - housekeeping must have been in a rush that day. Having said that, for the low cost of the apartment, and the free breakfast, I've realised in life you can't have everything - and we'll definitely be back to Riverside. Thanks.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, excellent accommodation, would happily stay again. Only concern was excessive noise and language from next door on the first night, went from 3.30am to 6.30am

Our daughter in the single bed in the lounge area found the partying in Flinders Lane very noisy; it carried on till past 4am. Apart from that the place was very good. Shower was great.

Excellent location and facilities in the apartment.

The gentleman who booked us in was extremely helpful and obliging. The staff we had contact with after that were average in their service. I meant to mention when we were booking out that there is a problem with the dryer in the unit (1628.) On the warm cycle it does not go through the cool down cycle but gets stuck on the drying cycle. When I checked it, luckily I did, as it was burning hot. The clothes were too hot to touch and consequently a number of items were shrunk which would normally have been suitable to tumble dry on a warm cycle. That aside, it is extremely dangerous and could start a fire if the tenant left it on and then went out. Probably time for both washing machine and dryer to be replaced. Also don't quite understand why the 2 single beds are in the main bedroom with the ensuite and the double bed is in the second bedroom. Apart from that the apartments are quite comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Good position walk to Southern Cross, Southbank and city centre easily

Our room got upgraded and it was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was amazing, the room was great, and we would absolutely come back again.

Comfortable. Higher ratings would have been achieved if the soap and shampoo dispencers were functional, improved air conditioning and more table space in bedrooms.

It was good. One problem was that there was a cricket in our room that was very noisy.

I really appreciated the quietness and the space. A real good deal I don't regret.

The view was fantastic especially for kids, the amenities were great for the family and the staff were really friendly and natural

The air conditioning generators right outside one of the bedrooms disturbed sleep. Not a great location for penthouse apartment for this reason. But a great view!
