Now the only place to stay for me when travelling to Carlton for business. I work off Drummond Street so the location is perfect. Great proximity to rest of Carlton/Lygon St etc. I have tried "The Downtowner" on Lygon and it is disgusting in comparison. I now travel to Carlton monthly, this was my first stay at Travel Inn and I will be back for sure.

Great stay-thanks. We enjoyed it. On booking on 8Jan we asked for a room facing Drummond St and repeated that request in an email on 23 March but on arrival were initially allocated a room at the back where previously we had been affected by tobacco smoke from courtyard smokers. The reception person however who was unaware of our request was able to make the change when we drew it to his attention. On the kerb where the tour buses park at your front door there was an unsightly and possibly unhealthy deposit of what looked like spat-out betel nut. From the location it appeared to be associated with hotel guests, possibly those using the tour buses. Betel nut and its usage is a well known health hazard including because it can spread tuberculosis when spat out. It is a recognised health issue in Asia and the Pacific and betel nut use has been banned in many cities, especially in China. See Google. We suggest in the interests of public health and to remove an unsightly feature at your front door, that the area be cleaned up and betel nut spitting be discouraged among hotel guests.

Pleasant. It was annoying that in a non-smoking room people were permitted to smoke outside the window in the pool courtyard. However, the staff told us that smoking was going to be banned in the pool courtyard starting next week. Knowing that we will most likely return.

We stayed for our first time in Melbourne for the Brickvention lego show. The room was just right for coming back to sleep. It was quiet, clean and reasonable walking distance to places to eat. We have stayed in Best Western hotels elsewhere and this one was exactly as expected. Will stay again.

Deluxe room was very roomy, clean and comfortable. I would have preferred a sheet on the bed rather than synthetic quilt. Also the spa bath didn't work otherwise it was of a high standard.
